BTW I'm engaged now, meaning the BMW fund is probably the wedding fund. So there's that.

You have to provide your own cinder blocks if they're in the front yard. Standard Baltimore County rule.

Congratulations! That must be a heck of a woman to devote the BMW fund toward making her happy. I wish you all the best!

Was it at least consensual?
Congrats! Now you can stop pretending. Well, after the wedding.

It was consensual, but spurred by "you can't get a(nother) project car until I get a ring".

Congratulations!
Also, the average cost of a wedding these days is $30K, so I'd recommend eloping. Or just go to the courthouse and invite, like, ten people. Profit!

That's the way to do it. Keep the wedding simple and small, and save the money for an awesome honeymoon that's honestly going to be more fun than the wedding anyway. Anything that's left over can go into a house and/or savings.

THIS.
Also how did you do it? I want a step by step of how I could be engaged one day. If you need to make an instructables that would be great. Cover in detail how you went from dating to boyfriend girlfriend. This is the step I seem to have most trouble with. LOL

Congratulations! You can still spend on the BMW. Just tell her it needs to be in perfect shape for when you ride-off after the wedding. That may include a new exhaust and suspension.

1) Get tired of being single
2) Find attractive girl (gym, internet, binoculars through your window, etc.)
3) Convince attractive girl you're awesome and she should spend time with you
4) Realize attractive girl is also very smart, easily doubling attractiveness quotient
5) Buy a house (don't do this if you like having money for stuff)
6) Surprise proposal after living together and realizing attractive girl won't kill you in your sleep and than you don't want to kill her in her sleep

As of now it includes a new airbag, since BMW just recalled them for my model/year.

I already have the car. Fun fact: BMWs cost more to maintain than to buy.

Oh, believe me, as a current owner of a 1998 BMW 740iL, I am well aware of the maintenance costs. But it's an awesome car, nevertheless.
